The "Templo Expiatório da Sagrada Família" is probably the most interesting and architecturally exciting basilica that I have visited. I truly hope that I will be able to visit this extraordinary building when it is completely finished, probably in 2026/2027...

Construction of the Sagrada Família began in March 1882 under architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. In 1883, when Villar resigned, Gaudí took over as chief architect, transforming the project with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms.
